The service of legalization does not apply to the content of a document, but only to the official signatures such as those of Notary Publics or representatives of Chambers of Commerce.
Prior to be submitted to the Consular offices, documents need to be legalized first by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
If sending the documents by post, please attach a stamped self addressed envelope and a simple copy of the document.
Legalization fees for signatures of an Australian authority ( representative of DFAT) in any document related to individuals is AU$ 45.00. In documents related to legal entities such as companies or institutions, the fee is AU$ 120.00.
For legalizations of signatures of Certificates of Origin and others, please contact the Embassy of Peru office.
